The electrochemistry of hybrid vehicle nickel metal hydride battery “memory effects” is followed by description of electrochemical instrumentation deployed at auto repair shops worldwide. Bringing electrochemistry to the streets opens the door to nascent markets in between the automobile aftermarket and the smelters. Electrochemical methods are now accessible to the general populace operating hybrid vehicle repair shops.
