Penn State uses EZstat Pro for impedance analysis of lithium ion batteries in the classroom
Professor Tom Mallouk of Penn State University now features NuVant’s EZstat Pro for classroom use. The EZstat Pro provides both electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Step Impedance Spectroscopy for analysis of lithium ion batteries. Please go to the following link for more information about the Penn State course material.
An advantage of using NuVant potentiostat/galvanostats in the classroom for battery materials analysis is that a laboratory environment is not necessary. These experiments can be safely conducted within any lecture hall environment. Hoods and running water are not a requirement. Safety glasses are always a plus though! Thus the real estate requirements for development of courses that satisfy laboratory requirements in the course curriculum are minimal. We encourage universities to use the EZstat Pro for analysis of electrochemical devices in the classroom.
